SEK International School El Castillo is the oldest International Baccalaureate® (IB) Continuum School in Spain, with students from over 25 countries and staff from 12. We recently celebrated our 40th anniversary of offering IB programmes. Our beautiful campus is located in the NE of Madrid and is next to Camilo José Cela University and Sports Club. The school has had a long partnership with Real Madrid C.F and is proud to host the SEK International Sports Academy, providing coaching to high performance athletes who need to balance training with their pursuit of dual career paths.
SEK-El Castillo has International Boarding Houses for boys and girls, where students develop an international mindset and deep intercultural understanding. We have a strong commitment to developing the IB learner profile. Through professional development and support of our staff, we seek to be innovative and design programmes that help students get the most out of their education.
We are seeking candidates for the following opening starting in August 2018:

This is a great opportunity to join an IB school in Madrid. We are seeking well-qualified candidates to join our senior school team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and must have IB experience. The ability to speak some Spanish would be an advantage.

Colegio Internacional SEK-EI Castillo is situated in Villafranca del Castillo, in Northwest Madrid, Spain. It educates girls and boys from the age of zero to 18 years old. It is a mainstream, all-through, independent educational establishment. It is a bilingual school as the students are taught through the medium of Mandarin Chinese and English. The children are able to achieve the International Baccalaureate Diploma from attending the Colegio Internacional SEK-EI Castillo.

Values and Vision
Colegio Internacional SEK-EI Castillo aims to give students a fun and enriching school experience. They are taught skills that will help them develop and live in the constantly changing, modern world. The children are encouraged to have an open-mind and have a caring attitude towards others. They should have personal, academic, physical and emotional development from attending the school. Extra-curricular activities are available and the children are encouraged to take advantage of them. They can do drama, arts and crafts, sports, including chess, taekwondo, swimming, tennis and soccer. The aim is to make sure every pupil leaves the school with excellent knowledge of English and Mandarin Chinese. The hope is for them to gain employment skills. Class sizes are smaller than average. The aim of this is to make sure every student gains a one-to-one education when they need it most. Speech therapy is also available to help the pupils develop even further. These therapy sessions are called the Star Program and are on offer for pupils of all ages.
