Are you interested in training to become a teacher of Design Technology through the Teacher Apprenticeship Scheme?

We are seeking to appoint a trainee teacher of Design Technology with the opportunity to specialise in Food & Nutrition. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative colleague joining a team of committed professionals in this subject. The post would be suitable for someone with 6 months experience of working within a school environment.  A passion for the subject and the desire to inspire others are essential.  This post offers the opportunity to further develop the teaching of Design Technology to our large number of girls at KS3 (also includes Textiles and Product Design), KS4 (Food & Nutrition, Textiles and Product Design) and boys & girls at KS5 (Textiles and Product Design).

Maidstone Grammar School for Girls is a very successful selective girls’ school of 1220 students with a mixed sixth form of approximately 340.  Since July 2019 we have been appointed by the Department for Education as a Computer Hub in recognition of the expertise the school has evidenced in Computing Education and will take a lead in training teachers across the south east in the delivery of Computing.
