Newcastle Sixth Form College is seeking to appoint a teacher of Drama to join our inspirational and effective curriculum team. The College is an exciting place where A level and Access to Level 3 students have the freedom to be themselves and the support to achieve their best. Drama teaching takes place in a dedicated Drama Studio with a separate Drama classroom which allows for innovative teaching and learning to prepare students for all aspects of the A level specification. Teaching staff at the Sixth Form are vital in helping students progress successfully from the college, whether that is to employment or an apprenticeship or for most of our students to university. An ability to teach or provide support in an additional A level subject would be an advantage, although not essential.
Newcastle College Sixth Form is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff to share this commitment.
At Newcastle College Sixth Form values are not just about what we do, but also about how we do things. Our values underpin the culture and beliefs of our organisation, we expect all our staff to demonstrate behaviours in line with our three core values. 1. Valuing Our People, 2. Ownership and 3. Being Open and Honest.
Newcastle College Sixth Form is part of the NCG Group and offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including enhanced annual leave schemes, access to the either the Teachers pension scheme (teaching posts) or the Local Government pension scheme (non teaching posts), childcare vouchers and discounts via our online benefits portal. Many of our locations also offer limited free parking for staff.
