Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers for the following position:

Drama Teacher

Temporary for the 2020 school year - 1 day per week

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • have a commitment to the practice of the Catholic faith and appropriate Religious Education qualifications;
  • have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school;
  • have a commitment to excellence as a classroom teacher;
  • address Drama qualifications in application
  • be willing to teach any class level from K-6;
  • be able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community.
  • be dynamic, motivated and willing to contribute positively as a committed member of a Professional Learning Community and demonstrate highly effective skills in facilitating a rich contemporary learning environment.

Mt St Patrick Primary School is an independent, co-educational, Catholic school located on the far North coast of NSW in the township of Murwillumbah. 

Mt St Patrick Primary is a Parish School which opened on St Patrick’s Day 1904 by Bishop Doyle the first Bishop of Lismore.

Facilities

Through a recent building program the school has 21st century classrooms and learning structures. All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, wireless connections and a bank of laptops/netbooks in each classroom. 

Curriculum

Students participate in specialist Music, Art, Library and Technology lessons. In addition to this the school operates a variety of programs such as Extension Maths classes, Individual Literacy Support lessons, Quick Smart, Best Start, Pre-school to Kindergarten Transition Program developed in conjunction with Southern Cross University.

Its  mission statement is: ‘In union with the whole Church, Mt St Patrick Parish Primary School embraces the faith proclaimed in the Creed and seeks to express it fully through Christian living and action’.
