Job overview

We are looking to appoint an outstanding drum teacher to further develop our music provision.

In addition to taking forward the Department’s growing percussion group, the successful candidate will be dynamic, inspirational and uncompromising in their commitment to providing outstanding individual and small group lessons.

Working as part of a team on large-scale projects, and proficiency in adapting and arranging music for students ranging in experience is expected.

This post would suit either a postgraduate student or a more experienced practitioner. The post is part-time (one or two days a week) and term time only.

In 2016, 84% of our Year 11 students achieved at least 5 A* to C including English and Maths GCSEs. The Music Department is highly successful and the music provision for our students has developed significantly over the last few years becoming one of the school’s strengths.
