Rutlish is a very successful, oversubscribed comprehensive school located in the leafy suburbs of Wimbledon. We have been acknowledged as one of the top 100 non-selective State funded schools in England, based on the KS2 to KS4 value added measure.

We require an enthusiastic, inspirational and dedicated DT and ICT specialist with energy and commitment to join our Team. The ability to teach ICT at KS3 and KS4 would be advantageous.

Values and vision

Rutlish School aims to create an environment where boys and staff behave responsibly and contribute fully as they develop a clear sense of belonging to the school community. The secondary school is committed to educating the whole person and helping its pupils to understand the importance of responsibility, compassion, competition, fairness and honesty in all that they do. 

Teaching students the skills of self-discipline, co-operation, respect and tolerance is seen as essential, as without these skills it is believed that academic objectives cannot be reached.

Internal and external exclusions have fallen rapidly as a result of consistent policies and careful monitoring. The headteacher and senior leaders, including governors, have been successful in their relentless focus on improving teaching and raising achievement.
