Part-time role, 40 weeks a year (term-time only +1 week)

Ideally 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday), 8am – 3.30pm (we are willing to discuss an appropriate working pattern with each candidate)

We seek to appoint an experienced and able DT Technician (Food Technology) for our high school in Twickenham.

Reporting in to the Head of Design Technology, the DT Technician will be part of a committed and enthusiastic team of support staff, providing exceptional support for learning and teaching at our College in order to provide a world-class education for our pupils. 

The position will involve, amongst other things:

• Preparing and putting away of  ingredients, equipment and resources for each lesson

• Assisting pupils during practical lessons: maintenance of health and safety standards and extra support when washing up 

• To ensure that equipment is in good working order and that the classroom, preparation room and storage areas are in a clean, secure, safe and orderly condition.​

• Laundering of tea towels, dishcloths, oven gloves and aprons to ensure a constant supply

• To assist in the creation and maintenance of classroom and corridor displays

• Any administrative duties as they arise - filing, photocopying, laminating etc. ​

• Support for other areas of Design Technology as required.
