Outwood Academy Riverside is an 11-16 provision opening in September 2020 as part of the Free Schools Programme. As part of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust, the school will provide outstanding provision for young people in our local community, ensuring Students first: raising standards and transforming lives in the heart of Middlesbrough. We are recruiting exceptional individuals who will be founding members of staff within this school. Being part of the original founding staff team at Outwood Academy Riverside is an incredibly exciting prospect and one that does not frequently come about.

At Outwood Academy Riverside we have high expectations because our children and staff deserve nothing less, are you somebody who would like to be part of this journey? If you genuinely love working with children, will go above and beyond for our young people and want to work as part of an inspirational and dynamic team that are proud to be creating local history, then we would love to hear from you.

In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy-based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible.

Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage. Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academy or the position please contact Angela McNeil: a.mcneill@outwood.com and we will be happy to assist.

For more information and to apply online, please go to: www.outwood.com > Careers.

Please note, CVs will not be accepted.

Closing date: Midday on 17 April 2020.

Interview date: 30 April 2020 & 1 May 2020.
