DT Department

This is a permanent post to commence September 2022. We are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Technician to join our DT department.

 

Perryfields Academy is a thriving school located in Oldbury, Sandwell. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant difference to the life chances of our students. You will have an important role in building on the good standards already achieved at Perryfields. We are very proud of the achievements our students make academically and in many other spheres. The DT Department currently consists of 4 specialist teaching staff. Lessons are taught predominantly in 4 specialist DT classrooms, including 2 workshops and a catering classroom. All our classrooms have network facilities, digital projectors and visualisers. There is a range of equipment/machinery available for use in the workshops to support the curriculum.

 

The DT department is committed to delivering a curriculum accessible to all which provides the broadest possible range of opportunities for students. One which will allow students to become self-motivated and confident learners, who can work independently and as part of a team, whilst developing skills for life. We aim to ensure that learners develop technical and practical competencies as well as the wider skills valued by employers. Our main priority is for students to be problem solvers who are not afraid of making mistDT Department
