Monday to Friday with 30 minutes lunch break
Term time only (39 weeks per annum)

The school was judged “good” by Ofsted in May 2017 and “outstanding” by the Archdiocese of Southwark in May 2019. Our Roman Catholic, Salesian school, in the heart of Battersea, strives to ensure that all its young people are given the opportunity and support they need to achieve their best, fulfill their true potential and go out into the world confident and ready to ‘earn their own bread.’
A confident and reliable person is required to support the Design Technology and Food Technology teams in the smooth running of the departments. The successful candidate will be expected to have sound knowledge and skills relating to the use and maintenance of the machinery used within a DT department and be proactive in supporting the teaching staff in student engagement of the learning activity. A knowledge of health & safety and COSHH requirements would be an advantage.
A proven track record of good communication and organisational skills is essential as is the ability to competently use ICT such as Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint. The ability to use CAD/CAM (Sketchup, 2D Design / 3D Printers, Laser cutters) would be an asset as well as machinery and hand tools commonly found in a DT department. An interest in gaming would prove advantageous, as the Department has recently introduced A-level Digital Gaming and L2 Creative iMedia courses.
Experience of working in a school-based environment is desirable. The ability to work professionally under pressure to meet deadlines and operate flexibly within the changing needs of the school is essential.
