If you are a passionate fitness practitioner with experience of managing teams then this could be the opportunity for you!

As Duty Manager you will be expected to work under the Senior Duty Manager to promote, develop and manage the Sports Centre. The post holder will take responsibility of one of the following areas: Gym and fitness; vending, marketing, publicity, use of social media; poolside operations or health and safety. You will be responsible for opening and closing the facility and must be able to work unsociable hours.

Ideally you will have experience managing pool operations. You should be an excellent communicator and be able to establish relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Most importantly you should be passionate about the leisure industry and about encouraging others to lead a better, healthier lifestyle. 

The Stanground Sports Centre boasts a spacious fitness suite, dance and spin studio, two sports halls and a large swimming pool. It offers a broad range of engaging activities, including fitness classes, catering for the varied needs of the community and pupils and staff of the Stanground Academy.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College. The Academy has since undergone a £24M building project and now boasts state of the art” buildings providing academic, vocational and sports facilities for pupils and staff.  These include fully-equipped specialist rooms, extensive sports facilities, a dance studio, a theatre and high tech ICT equipment.
