12-month Fixed Term Contract
Oundle School is one of the country’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools. The School has approximately 860 boarding and 260 day pupils, with 250 day pupils aged 4 – 11 attending Laxton Junior School.
The background
The development of a successful IT strategy - and its deployment - is central to the strategic development of the School and to the delivery of a first-class education. Progress has been made over the last year towards the adoption of coherent digital platforms and technologies. The successful administration and organisation of the School is increasingly dependent on a resilient and dependable network in order that staff and pupils can work intuitively with a system that is fit for purpose.
The role
To support this, the School is seeking an eLearning Advisor on a 12-month fixed term contract to work with academic staff both inside and outside the classroom to ensure appropriate use of technologies throughout the School. Acting as an advocate for the use of educational technologies, you will bring recommendations for investment and introduction of systems, and will work closely with the Director of Digital Strategy to recommend enhancements and additions to the suite of services provided by IT.
The requirements
Educated to degree level, or displaying equivalent experience, you will be qualified in Project Management Methodologies. You will have a demonstrable ability to educate, inform and train on the use of digital systems in an educational environment, thorough knowledge of relevant software and experience of software integration. Your positive and helpful approach will be underscored by a strong ability to communicate with those less confident with technology.
The details
You will work 40 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday but with some Saturdays on a rotational basis. Salary is in the range of £32,000 – £35,000 per annum dependent on skills, knowledge and experience.
To Apply
Complete an application form and return it by the closing date of 15 January 2021 (8.30am). Interviews will be held w/c 25 January 2021.
Please note that depending on the volume of applications received, we reserve the right to close applications before 15 January.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
