We have a fantastic opportunity for an EAL Counsellor/Psychologist to join the Penola family for 2020. This is a part time (2 days per week) fixed term position.
As the EAL Counsellor/Psychologist you will be responsible for the counselling of individual EAL students to support the social, emotional, cognitive, behavioural and educational development of the EAL student/s. You will provide both individual and group interventions with the aim of being proactive and preventive.
About You
To be successful you must be able to read and/or write Chaldean / Assyrian / Arabic, have relevant training in counselling, be able to build effective relationships and work effectively within a team.
You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
