We are keen to appoint an ECT to join our ambitious and successful staff team. We know that teaching is a demanding job and we are keen to provide an environment in which early career teachers enjoy working, workload and career aspirations are considered. Teachers work within a supportive team overseen by a Year Group Leader and Vice Principal for the Phase.

All subject planning is in place on a Google drive for teachers to adapt to the needs of their pupils. Specialist subject teachers cover PPA and the additional ECT time; there is a pool of class learning support assistants; and administrative support to manage data collection and input. ECTs are part of UCL’s two year training programme based at Hillingdon primary school. All training takes place during the school day and includes the support of an experienced mentor.

The school is proud to be part of the Elliot Foundation, a multi-academy trust specialising in primary education. We work with other academies and like-minded professionals for the benefit of our students. Elliot Foundation teachers have access to a wide range of comprehensive learning and development opportunities. Further information regarding The Elliot Foundation can be found at: http://www.elliotfoundation.co.uk.

We are a large primary school with an established leadership structure and we take pride in supporting our staff to develop their leadership and management skills as part of our internal succession planning. We have a successful track record of enabling career progression: many of our teachers eventually move on to middle and senior leadership positions due to the opportunities we provide to support a teacher’s development and career.

Keen to find out more before applying? Keen to know about the advantages of working in an academy? Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged. Please telephone or email Mrs Taylor (Business Manager for HR and Administration) at 01895 590087 or ataylor@hillingdonprimaryschool.org.uk to make an appointment.

Hillingdon Primary School is situated in a central location in Hillingdon Borough with good road connections to the A40, M4 and M25, together with good transport links.
