Applications are invited for the following Early Childhood Coordinator and Early Childhood Teacher role at an Early Learning Centre that is part of a coeducational Independent school located in the Sydney’s Fairfield area. The school follows the Christian faith. 

About the Role:

  • Full time permanent role commencing immediately
  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent
  • Manage day to day operations and supervise staff delivering early childhood programs
  • Lead and work as part of a team to deliver a high-quality program that caters for the individual needs of children from 2 to 5 years
  • Apply knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Framework 
  • Create, facilitate and manage early childhood programs
  • Responsible for up-skilling staff, training and professional development
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team, including the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads, meet deadlines, respond to organisational demands and deal with matters of a confidential and sensitive nature

About the School:

The Early Learning Centre is an approved centred-based centre that offers a child-centred, play-based, investigative program. The school’s goal nurture the joy of discovery as children continue to explore and make sense of the world around them.  They want the children to become deep thinkers, active inquirers and lifelong learners


About You:

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent
  • Must hold First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma
  • A sound knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework 
  • Be supportive of the school’s Christian ethos
  • Provide a minimum of three professional references
  • Be registered or have the ability to be registered with New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) and hold a NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC). It's now a requirement for all NSW early childhood teachers (ECT) working in approved centre-based early childhood services to be accredited
  • Have the right to work in Australia
