Methodist Ladies' College is a leading independent day and boarding school offering coeducational early learning - pre-primary, and kindergarten - Year 12 education for girls, situated on the banks of the Swan River in the heart of Claremont, Western Australia.

Applications are sought from outstanding early childhood education and care professionals qualified to undertake the responsibilities of our Early Childhood Education and Care Centre Director. The Director is responsible for managing the ECECC on our beautiful Claremont campus for children aged between 6 months and 3 years.

Methodist Ladies’ College (MLC) is a Christian day and boarding school for female students from pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, with boarding available for students aged 12 and above. The school is in Claremont, WA, a suburb of Perth. 

The school was established in 1907 by the Methodist Church of Australia but in the 1970s became part of the Uniting Church of Australia. The school prides itself on its high academic achievements and rich history.

Facilities

Boarding facilities include comfortable bedrooms set in a historic building, complete with study rooms, kitchens, and lounge areas. All students also have access to the gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis courts, sporting fields, and gardens overlooking the Swan River. 

Academic facilities include modern classrooms and library with access to internet and computers, and dedicated space for art, music, technology, and sciences. Students in Year 5 and onwards can bring their own iPad to connect, through support of the Information and Learning Technologies Department. 

Curriculum

The school offers a challenging curriculum, in accordance with the Western Australian state guidelines. Senior students complete a work placement in Year 10, and have access to private and group tutoring through the Academic Centre. 

Popular extra-curricular options include creative arts, with annuals arts festivals being held, music and choir, theatre, and community service. Sports include rowing, basketball, netball, softball, and athletics.
