Early Childhood Lead Teacher

Responsibilities:

To teach children to the ibg standard and to take ownership of the school’s mission and ethos, ensuring the highest possible standards of student achievement, personal development and well-being; ensuring effective subject teaching, pastoral care and necessary administration to fulfil the ibg Statutory Guidelines.

• Identifying clear teaching objectives, specifying delivery and assessment;
• aligned to curriculum and bilingual requirements
• Effective delivery of the curriculum towards bilingual, green and future literacies
• Task setting to engage students and ensure high levels of learning
• Identifying opportunities for SEN differentiation
• Make effective use of observation and assessment to secure the teaching and learning cycle
• Implement a wide variety of teaching methods to inspire and engage all students

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years prior experience in a quality early years environment
• ICT / basic administrative skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Native English proficiency
• Bachelor degree + appropriate teaching qualification
• Prior international experience is advantageous
• Chinese language ability is advantageous
• Evidence of outstanding contributions to schools is advantageous

(ibg) is a selective, leading bilingual nursery school in Beijing. We are a premium solution to meet the demand for quality bilingual pre-primary education in China.

With a new campus opening in 2019, we are seeking qualified and committed teachers to join our dynamic team in the new school year commencing from our pilot in August, 2019. The opportunity enables select teaching professionals to explore the local culture and contribute to a unique legacy in bilingual education.
Our campus is located in Xizhimen, neighbouring with the Financial Street and the Zhongguancun Technical Business Circle South. ibg school collaborated  with  Hibino from Japan to forward the design possibility for all buildings and landscapes in our campus. The focus of our collaboration was to further the dialogue between space, sustainable attitudes, children and high-performance learning. Our campus is proud to be preschool in Beijing to obtain both LEED& WELL green architectural authentication.

We designed a 3600 square meters dedicated space. Our atrium garden on the ground floor and the roof garden on the north building are for local plants and flowers. The space offers a wonderful and truly unique relationship with nature. There are 12 classrooms, a dedicated art studio, a dedicated technology workshop, a specialist music studio, a bilingual library, and an open-plan children’s cafe.

Our service partners are Global 500 suppliers. Our partners arrange our catering, security and transportation. Each surface material, furniture item and learning materials are sourced from environmentally respectful materials.

Our management team, teaching faculties and curriculum design team have many years of cross-cultural working experience, which will inevitably bring diverse companionships and experience for our children here at ibg school.
ibg school provides a pure bilingual education environment for early years students. Our learning environment is optimized towards bilingual readiness for communication, thinking and cultural confidence. The ibg school curriculum has been designed with a focus on localization for Chinese children through immersion. Our curriculum design realizes our educational objectives for whole-child development.

Teachers are on duty from 7:30 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. daily. They are expected to take part in the extra-curricular programs of the school.
