The British School Yangon produces a high quality international education standard and has been rapidly growing its excellent reputation since opening in 2014. We have a brand new, purpose built school facility that opened in August 2018, and the school is well placed to become one of the leading schools in the SEA Region. It is an all-through school, educating EYFS, Primary and Secondary children. We have wonderful students and a very vibrant international community.
In our Early Years and KS1 settings, we work with children from the ages of 2 to 7 years, who hail from all over the world. As a result of the continued expansion and growth of the school, we are now seeking to add an outstanding teacher to our team.
EYFS / Key Stage One Teacher, January 2020
Are you an experienced, enthusiastic and ambitious Early Years / Key Stage One teacher, looking to join an exciting and vibrant teaching community? The British School Yangon is looking to recruit a flexible, caring, well-qualified specialist to join our team.
The candidate we are seeking needs in-depth knowledge and rich experience of both the EYFS and Primary Curriculum (English National Curriculum) and of utilizing the Development Matters documentation. You must have a desire and passion for working in an outstanding international learning environment and the ability to both plans in the moment to maximize progress and deliver engaging age-appropriate teacher-led sessions, in order to ensure that all children reach their potential.
Expertise in supporting children with EAL to meet the expectations of the curriculum is also a must for meeting the needs of our cohort. Your application should, therefore, demonstrate your experience of working with children whose first language is not English.
