The Post

As an Early Years Advisory Teacher you will be a member of the Early Years Quality Improvement Team. You will provide quality improvement advice in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and other applicable legislation to a group of early years providers from the Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) sector. The role will also include developing, delivering and disseminating training and key messages to the early years workforce.

In addition you will be a member of the Local Authorities Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP) moderation team. 

The Person

We are seeking a highly motivated, inspirational individual who is passionate about learning and development in the early years. You will understand the many factors that contribute to positive outcomes in these important years that provide the foundation for children’s future health, well-being and attainment.

You will have experience as a successful early years teacher in a culturally diverse setting or school. In addition, you will have recent experience of undertaking leadership responsibilities, collaborating with a range of multi-agency professionals and supporting others to develop their skills and knowledge within the EYFS.

You will be able to make sound judgements on the basis of evidence, identify key issues accurately and understand indicators of performance. The ability to interpret data accurately is essential. You will be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
