About the School
The Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai (SISD) opened in August 2015 and is a candidate school for all three academic International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes with the goal of becoming an IB continuum school. We seek to inspire students beyond the classroom to become lifelong learners and global citizens of the 21st Century by developing their talents in a multilingual environment. The school currently serves approximately 650 students up to Grade 9. Student numbers will eventually rise to a targeted total of about 2,200 of whom 300 students will be boarders. Our generous, state-of-the art campus with significant sports facilities is located in Dubai Healthcare City, Al Jaddaf, Dubai.

About the Position
We are looking for the following outstanding, dynamic and enthusiastic specialist Early Years and Primary Teachers to join our team in August 2017:
Music
Previous experience of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) would be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite. The successful candidates will be responsible for the teaching and learning and well-being of his/her class. All teachers will work closely with the PYP Coordinator, Head of Early Years or Head of Primary School and share in curriculum development and after school activities.
Comprehensive professional development will be provided to the successful candidates, who will be fully qualified and experienced teachers with Bachelor in Education Degree or specialist subject Degree and relevant professional teaching qualification and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

Our Programmes
At SISD we follow the framework of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme from Pre-Kindergarten (PreKG) to Grade 12 and the Swiss Baccalaureate programme from Grade 6 onwards. The Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai is an IB Continuum World School authorised to offer and teach the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) IB Diploma Programme (DP) and the IB Career-related Programme (CP).
We are also a member of the Swiss Group of Schools, CIS and ECIS.
SISD offers three different streams with an emphasis on offering learners the chance to develop international-mindedness, to broaden their skills and capabilities and to acquire the information needed to access other cultures:
• IB Bilingual English/French (with Arabic)
• IB Bilingual English/German (with Arabic)
• IB with additional languages (French or German with Arabic) and personalised STEAM* programme.
