Early Years and Primary Teachers (with QTS, ECTs welcome to apply), from September 2023

In September 2022 The Southfield Trust opened Summerdown School, a new, purpose built Special Free School. This school has increased the excellent range of provision across the Southfield Trust. Increased provision has created exciting opportunities across our special school multi-academy trust. The Trust has four schools, located across six, distinct school sites. All of our schools are based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

We are recruiting a number of teachers ranging from Early Years to Year 6.

The Southfield Trust would like to appoint committed and inspirational classroom teachers with primary experience. The Southfield Trust delivers high quality for pupils with a range of significant complex needs including autism and medical needs.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• consistently good, but ideally outstanding, practice

• a high level of skills, knowledge and experience of teaching pupils with a wide range of complex learning needs

• commitment to continued professional development

• a collaborative approach

• the ability to contribute towards supporting the wider work of the school and Trust

• energy, resilience and a positive outlook

A permanent post will be offered subject to a successful probationary year.

The paid hours of work are 32.5 (full-time hours).

The salary range is from £28,000 (Main Pay Scale) to £43,685 (Upper Pay Scale) plus a SEN Allowance of £2,384 per annum.
