Values and vision

Mansfield Primary has schemes available to help children with special needs, including communication and interaction for pupils on the autism spectrum, and cognition and learning for those with dyslexia. The academy has a range of interesting topics on its curriculum, from dinosaurs to Egyptians and space.

Children who attend Mansfield are in a supportive environment and are treated as equals. The work the pupils are given promotes independent learning in a stimulating way. Every child in the school is encouraged to take pride in their work. Teachers value students who show respect to others and have positive attitudes towards learning.

Ofsted report

“Pupils make good progress throughout the academy because the quality of teaching is good and learning interests and motivates them. Progress has quickened in the two years since the academy opened. The proportion of pupils who made better than expected progress by the end of Year 6 matched national averages in 2013 and inspection evidence suggests that current pupils are progressing at faster rates. Pupils feel safe and secure in this caring and supportive academy ”
