A unique opportunity has arisen to join Larchwood Primary School as an EYFS class teacher and EYFS Lead with the potential in the future to lead EYFS across the Discovery Educational Trust (DET) as part of the ongoing Trust expansion.

About us

Larchwood Primary School is a highly successful and popular two-form entry primary school located in Pilgrim’s Hatch, Brentwood. Our mission statement is all about ‘Achievement and Enjoyment’. We want our children to do well at school, reaching their potential while enjoying their primary years. We firmly believe that if you get this right in Early Years, children will continue to do well. Our children are fab! They are well behaved, enjoy coming to school and are ready and willing to learn, leaving Larchwood ready for secondary school. Our community believes in what we are doing and parents are hugely supportive of the school. Staff are dedicated, skilled, friendly and work well as part of a team.

Larchwood has been part of the academy trust for nine years. The Trust is expanding, currently consisting of two secondary schools and Larchwood. Two local primary schools are in the process of joining the Trust so this role offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. Although you will be based at Larchwood, teaching in one of our Reception classes, the role will involve dedicated time to work across the Trust.

About you

We are looking for a dedicated and experience practitioner who has worked extensively in EYFS and is looking for the next step in their career. You will have a passion for Early Years education and be able to work as part of a strong and committed team to give our children the best start to school they deserve.

· Mainscale or Upper Pay Scale (Larchwood pays London Fringe Allowance)

· Professional but also a fun and creative individual

· Understands the importance of their part in the bigger picture

· Knows how to assess organically and meet the learning needs of all children

· Use data to raise standards and improve pupil progress
