Horizon International School, Dubai is an established, thriving community that follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and the National Curriculum of England in Primary and Secondary. Students take a combination of IGCSE and GCSE at the end of Key Stage 4 leading into ‘A’ levels thereafter. Since our doors opened in September 2008, the school community has rapidly grown, and we now have approximately 1045 students with ages ranging from 3 to 18 from over 79 different countries.

The Post:

We seek to recruit well qualified and talented Early Years Teachers to complement our inspired and passionate team. We seek professionals who can teach consistently to exceptionally high standards with a proven track record in EYFS. It is expected that applicants will be able to relate to and align with our motto of ‘Everyone counts, everyone contributes, everyone succeeds.’

In the Foundation Stage at Horizon International School, our vision is to ensure every child reaches their full potential through play-based activities, enabling all children the time to learn, play, become self-assured risk takers and develop positive relationships. Using an adaptable and inspiring curriculum children will lead their own learning to foster their natural curiosity and inquisitive skills. We want children to be happy, confident, well rounded individuals with a love for learning.  We believe in providing all children with a safe and stimulating environment that builds on each individual’s wants, needs and interests. We believe that Learning should be fun, engaging and suitably challenging.

The EYFS department is on the cusp of 'outstanding' across the board. Applicants must have the enthusiasm, commitment and energy needed to work in a rapidly growing and developing school.

A B.Ed degree or other relevant degree coupled with PGCE or QTS is essential. Police clearance certificates are also not negotiable.

Relevant UK experience in the Early Years is essential and recent international experience is desirable.
