Exceptional Early Years Lead Teacher

for September 2025 onwards

Main or Upper Pay Scale position

+ Teaching and Learning Responsibility Points reflective of experience

Permanent contract

This position is unlikely to be suitable for an ECT applicant

 

We are a multicultural inner-city Southwark primary school with a friendly supportive team, whose diversity is an asset. The school offers exceptional levels of support and excellent opportunities for professional development to all its teachers. We are extremely proud of our diverse pupil intake (with over 60% of pupils from families receiving FSM or NRPF support) as well immensely proud of the diversity of our staff team

(over 50% of our staff team are from a BAME background)

 

Closing date for applications: 9.00 a.m. Thursday 6th March with interviews to follow on Thursday 13th or Friday 14th March

About Bird In Bush School

Located in The London Borough of Southwark, Bird in Bush School is a primary school for children aged 3-11. With around 500 pupils, it is significantly larger than the average school of its type. Bird In Bush Primary has a large and extremely diverse catchment area both culturally and economically, a fact reflected in its student intake. The school runs numerous additional activities and provision for students, including a breakfast club. The school received additional funding in order to run its PE and sports programmes.
