Your Opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join our passionate and enthusiastic team in Early Years. The successful candidate will support a range of children in Early Years with different needs within the classroom setting. They will be a professional individual who shares our vision of having high aspirations for the children and nurturing a passion for learning. They will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day to day school life and be a strong team player.


What we are looking for:

You will be:

  • Have grade A to C in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Have experience of working in an Early Years setting.
  • Able to stay calm and can demonstrate resilience when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour.
  • Able to develop an understanding of the educational, welfare, personal and social needs of the child that you are supporting.
  • Enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team, including working closely with parents and outside agencies.
  • Able to relate exceptionally well with children and to go that extra mile to help them achieve.

The details:

Start date: As soon as possible

Pay Scale: GLF Associate 2

Salary: £18,000 - £21,100 (Full time equivalent)

Pro Rata: £13442 - £15757 (actual)

Contract type: Fixed term contract until 31st August 2022

Hours of work: Part time - Monday-Friday 8.30am-3.15pm - 31.25hours weekly, 39 weeks per year.

Warren Mead Infant School is a community co-educational day school for children aged four to seven years.

The classes have a maximum of thirty pupils and are organised according to age with the children spending a year in one class before moving on through the school.
