Horbury Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an Early Years Play Assistant who can provide a range of appropriate creative, stimulating and fun activities for the Early Years pupils which are physically active.

You will be required to set up the activities for the pupils as well as encouraging the pupils to develop play skills and to participate in a range of activities, as well as supporting the development of the academy’s behaviour policy and ensuring that it is implemented effectively.

The successful candidate will have to be aware of all children and provide general supervision as required and will be provided with additional training to help deal with any immediate problems or emergencies.

The position is on a part-time basis working Monday to Friday from 12:15pm to 1:15pm.

Horbury Primary Academy is a mixed nursery, infant and junior academy, situated on the outskirts of Wakefield.

The academy has a broad, balanced and creative curriculum which aims to ensure that children are engaged in their learning and above all enjoy coming to school. It benefits from enthusiastic, caring and professional staff who work hard to ensure this happens.
