A little bit about us

We are a small independent school in Windsor. The school has been running since 1936. We value each and every member of our staff team and recognise that people can bring different ideas and suggestions all of which are equally valued. We view our team members as our extended family and most of our staff have worked with the school for many years.

Our Little Upton Nursery opened in 2008 and has continued to grow and develop our children since then. There are two year groups; Acorns for children aged 2-3 and Oaks for children aged 3-4.

Responsibilities

Our Early Years Practitioners are fully involved in the day-to-day teaching, planning and administration of the Little Upton Nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for a small number of children as their key person, settling in new children and working closely with their families.

Our Practitioners are also responsible for keeping records and reports for all their key children and meeting regularly with parents at drop off and pick up and at parents evenings to keep the parents informed of their child’s development.

In Little Upton we try to run our days to mimic that of school life, using play and imagination throughout the day to start off their developmental journey getting them ready for school life. The children start to learn numbers, phonics, basic science, music and many other subjects. Practitioners will work together to create fun lessons and activities for the children in their class during term time and for all the children that are in nursery during the school holidays.
