Acorn Park is an independent, specialist day and residential school that caters for children and young people aged 4 – 19 years who have autism and associated difficulties. We have a deservedly good reputation with parents and placing authorities for meeting the needs of children and young people who also have moderate or severe learning difficulties, and whose behaviour can be challenging.   

Our outstanding group of teachers, care staff, learning support assistants, therapists and psychology staff work together as an integrated team, with the young person at the heart of everything we do.


An amazing opportunity has arisen for you to join Acorn Park School an independent, specialist day and residential school that caters for children and young people aged 6 – 19 years who have communication and learning challenges associated with Autism. 


We are a fully integrated community made up of a range of professionals from different backgrounds employed to meet the diverse needs of the young people and families that we support.   We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring and ambitious qualified teacher. 


The role holder will need to be an outstanding teacher, with a passion and commitment to our core values of high expectations, no excuses, always learning and positivity. 

The successful candidate will have experience of the SEN sector and have a commitment to professional growth and personal development.

Acorn Park Autism School is a unique 30-­acre private estate where children and young adults across the breadth of the autistic spectrum can live, learn and play in a holistic, happy & safe environment.

The layout of Acorn Park means our pupils can walk safely to and from school, can enjoy our adventure playgrounds, outdoor space & the multi sensory play barn. We enjoy frequent trips to local villages & the zoo, and regularly enjoy activities around Thetford Forest and at the seaside towns around East Anglia.
