Job overview

ABC Teachers are seeking an experienced Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to work in SEN Schools on a flexible basis. The schools require Teaching Assistants with experience in Early Years to start ASAP. The schools are based in Dudley, Stourbridge and surrounding areas.


The role

Working with students with a range of special educational needs, including moderate learning difficulties and ASC. You will be working on a small group or 1:1 basis with students in EYFS, KS1 & KS2 you and will cater for their learning, social, emotional and developmental needs.

The schools cater for primary and secondary aged students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, including ASC and moderate learning difficulties.


Requirements

To be considered for the Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Have previous experience working with students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Have previous experience working with early years children.
  • Have suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is highly desirable.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and be confident dealing with occasional behavioural challenges.
