Early Years Teacher- Derby

A city centre school is currently looking for an Early years Foundation stage teacher who is kind, passionate and willing to help children of all backgrounds with their integration into the school. The school ask that any teacher who takes on the role is capable of managing a class of 20-30 children, with the assistance of TA’s and another teacher if necessary. The role has recently become available due to another member of staff going on maternity leave, meaning at least a term of cover will be required. 

If a teacher was to take on this role then the school would expect them to anticipate the needs of the children in their care whilst also preparing them for the learning environment further up the school. The School is located not far from the city centre and is easily accessible for candidates within the city or the surrounding areas.

The school have informed me that if a candidate was successful in the role then if any other vacancies should arise either within the EYFS category or elsewhere within the school, then they will be offered the role before advertising externally.

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
