Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Early Years Teacher to deliver the IB Early Years Programme (ages 3-5) in a stimulating and nurturing environment. As an Early Years Teacher, you will support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children, fostering a love for learning in a nurturing environment. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of every child. You will collaborate with a supportive team of educators, working together to create a positive and inclusive learning space.
Key Responsibilities:
● Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are aligned with the IB Early Years Programme.
● Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
● Assess and track students' development and learning, providing regular feedback to parents.
● Foster a love for learning through play, exploration, and inquiry-based approaches.
● Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students.
● Work collaboratively with fellow educators and participate in professional development activities.
● Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and the school community.
● Contribute to the school’s ethos, promoting the values of the IB framework.
● To support the ideals and policies of the school and to implement the school's philosophy and objectives.
● To teach the classes assigned by the Primary School Principal.
● To undertake other duties assigned by the Primary School Principal.
● To inform parents of students' progress by way of report cards and, where necessary, letters or individual meetings.
● To be available for all parent‐teacher conferences.
Requirements:
•A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• A P.G.C.E. or equivalent Teacher Education qualification.
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
•Experience teaching in an international or IB school setting is highly preferred.
•Knowledge of the IB PYP (Primary Years Programme) or Early Years framework.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
•Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and development.
Responsibilities specifically related to student safety and student support:
•Collaborate with the SENCO
•Ensure all activities are carried out with due regard to health, safety and safeguarding, in accordance with the Child Protection Policy.
• Trained in Safeguarding and Duty of Care.

Teaching information
Teachers at ISN are expected to hold an undergraduates degree in their chosen teaching subject, as well as a proper accredited teaching certification such as a postgraduate diploma, in addition to at least two years’ teaching experience.
