Teaching at LUC involves educating the whole child; nurturing the children, developing their academics, character, health and their emotional wellbeing. In addition to this, we are mindful of the fact that language is the means by which we all communicate with, and interpret, the world. It is therefore an amazing advantage for our children at LUC to be working in a language rich environment - and it will be a fantastic skill for them when they go out into the world. This means our teachers need to be comfortable working as part of a teaching team, usually comprising a western teacher, a senior Chinese teacher and junior assistants. This does mean we have a generous student to teacher ratio, but we have high expectations of our staff and expect them to meet these expectations.
