Job overview

Norwich International School requires:

Early Years Teachers

For its new state of the art campus in Bangkok, Thailand. Beginning in August 2016

Norwich is an International School in the suburbs of Bangkok using the British Curriculum Foundation Stage.  After opening its gates in August 2014 and solidly establishing ourselves we are now expanding to 3 form entry and require additional teachers in Early Years

Successful applicants will be teaching in our New Early Years facility built on over 3000 SQM it will expand the creative and safe learning environment for our two to five year-old learners and include expansive outdoor and sports facilities. Our new Early Years Headmistress Ms Julia Martinez will join the team in August and successful applicants will be working under her experienced guidance.

The CIS accreditation process will begin as soon as possible and the successful applicants will be required to take an active role in this. IB is a target for us too, so an interest in this program would be very useful. All applicants should remember that we are effectively a ESL school and all our young Thai learners begin with little or no English and that the acquisition of English language skills is high on our parent’s priority list.

Norwich is very keen to stress that we are also a school with strong links to Thai Buddhism and these meditation and Yoga methods will form an integral part of our long term program and that an open minded approach to this is essential.

An excellent remuneration package, 2-3 year contract, flights, comprehensive health insurance, and other benefits are being offered.

Please apply to Mr Geoffrey Potter on:  teach@norwichschool.ac.th  with your full resume, recent picture and references.

Norwich International School

Opened in August of 2014 Norwich and has established itself as a leading school in the community. With its comprehensive facilities and dedicated staff Norwich has grown from a brand-new school to one supporting over 250 children.

We are in the final planing stages for the building of our sports center and moving forward to the final part of our development plan as a combined British and IB curriculum school with full facilities for all age groups

A great place to see Norwich is to visit our website and Facebook page and familiarise yourself with the atmosphere and ethos of the school. You will also notice within the pages of the site the school’s close attachment to practices of Mindfulness and Thai Buddhism. An understanding and interest in these disciplines is essential for students and staff alike.

The school also recognises the steady influence of China in this part of the globe and since 2016 has included Mandarin lessons for all students.
