Early Years Teacher

North Bridge House West Hampstead Nursery & Pre-Prep are seeking to recruit an excellent Early Years Teacher of the highest calibre to join our growing school for September 2021.

West Hampstead Nursery & Pre-Prep School successfully launched in September 2020, boasting excellent facilities and outdoor learning areas. We are a growing school and looking for forward thinking, innovative staff to join our team.

This exciting and progressive role will suit someone who has a very good understanding of the Early Years and KS1 curriculums, is proactive, solution focused and actively seeks self development and for professional development ; someone who is forward thinking, passionate and is full of positive energy.

Located in the heart of West Hampstead, and ideally situated between West Hampstead and Kilburn stations, West Hampstead Nursery & Pre-Prep is in the heart of a vibrant and bustling part of the capital. Boasting many independent cafes and restaurants, as well as a farmer’s market, this pocket of North West London is an exciting location for families to raise their children. Being a short 15 minutes from central London, the school will provide a stimulating yet homely environment that is local, yet globally influenced.

Led by fully qualified and highly skilled teachers, West Hampstead Nursery & Pre-Prep has the same innovative and engaging atmosphere as it’s well established sister school, NBH Nursery and Pre-Prep in the neighbouring village of Hampstead. NBH West Hampstead’s features include beautifully designed creative spaces to facilitate not just the academic achievement of its young pupils, but their all-important personal, social and emotional development too.

Adopting a holistic, child centric approach to pupils’ learning and progression, West Hampstead Nursery & Pre-Prep has an innovative immersive space where the children can really explore using their imaginations and a newly designed outdoor area which will provide the children with an amazing outdoor learning space.

Covering all seven areas of the EYFS curriculum, the outdoor area provides many independent learning opportunities including developing gross motor skills on the climbing apparatus, making assault courses to negotiate, creating wonderfully messy recipes and dishes in the mud kitchen and exploring the sand and water areas, to reading stories to our school dog.  We also have a plans for a chicken run with pet chickens, just like our sister school’s ‘Poulet View'.
