The Barnehurst Federation began in April 2010. It was formed by joining together Barnehurst Infant School and Barnehurst Junior School. The Federation has its own Governing Body Head Teacher.
A rare opportunity has arisen to join the teaching assistant team at The Barnehurst Federation of Schools. We are looking for someone with a professional attitude, a real desire to put children’s needs first and the ability to work well in a team. Experience of providing 1:1 support is essential.
Status: Fixed Term to 21st July 2017 (Subject to a six month probationary Period) Possibility of permanent position
Hours/Percentage of Week: 25 hours a week (Pro Rata - Term Time only)

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The school therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
