Grade 3 £21,189 – £22,369 per annum (£17,316 - £18,280 pro rata to hours and weeks worked)

35 hours per week, working hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8.30am – 4.00pm, Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm. Term time only plus Teacher Training days (Working hours are negotiable).

We are looking to appoint an Early Years teaching assistant to work as part of our friendly and hardworking team in Nursery with afternoons based in Reception. We believe that securing a positive start to a childs’ learning journey in Early Years is paramount. At Richard Lee we have a strong sense of school community and creating and developing those relationships with our children and their families early on is essential!

Our successful candidate will be an excellent individual who inspires and motivates children and recognises the importance of Oracy and personal development. You will be able to use a wide range of engaging strategies to support children make progress and you will have the ability to nurture strong relationships with staff, children and families to raise aspiration and improve achievement.


We are looking for someone who:

·           Has experience of working with children across the Early Years’ age range or primary age range (KS1)

·           Has a desire to further develop their skills

·           Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills including strong levels or Oracy

·           Can support Early Years’ leaders in providing high quality childcare and education

·           Can take responsibility for a group of key children and take responsibility for observing, planning, tracking and evaluating their learning and development and setting individual targets

·           Will work in respectful partnership with parents/carers when supporting children in their learning and development

·           Has a sound knowledge of behaviour management and SEND

·           Is approachable and resilient
