Early Years Teaching Assistant

Fixed term until end of the summer term 2019, Term time only

26.25 hours per week, working pattern Monday to Friday

We are looking for a committed, caring individual who will work effectively within the existing Early Years staff team to support the learning of our Reception pupils.

The successful applicant will:

• have previous successful experience of working with nursery or primary aged children;
• have a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage;
• contribute positively to children’s happiness and well-being;
• demonstrate a sound understanding of pupils with additional learning needs;
• possess the ability to work in effective partnership with the class teacher and other adults to support all pupils;
• have the ability to work effectively to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in a small group, or a whole class situation under the direction of the class teacher;
• have the ability to adapt learning to meet the needs of the pupil/s with whom they work;
• possess a sense of humour and demonstrate a willingness to become fully involved in the life and work of the school.
