Job overview

Founded in 1905, Arnold House is a popular boys’ prep school based in St John’s Wood, London. In 2021 we will be embarking on a key new chapter in the history of the School with the opening of an Early Years setting. This will be based in the newly acquired Huxley Building, a short walk from the main school site. From September  we will open two new reception classes and two pre-reception classes, enabling boys to enter the School and benefit from an Arnold House education from age 3.

We are looking for a team of committed and caring Early Years Teaching Assistants to join this new department of the School.

You will have a passion for working with children in the Early Years and an understanding of the ethos and aims of the School as a whole.

You will be one of a team of TAs responsible for supporting teachers to provide high standards of provision and pastoral care for the boys in this part of the School and for ensuring that boys are happy and settled in their first year at Arnold House. With guidance from the teacher, you will support the boys’ learning and when the time comes help prepare them for transition to Reception or Year 1.

You will work alongside teachers  and other TAs, and directly with a small group of boys in either Pre-Reception or Reception. You will report to the Head of Early Years.

We offer competitive salaries, school holidays as holiday with pay, lunches and pension contributions.
