About the position:
We are looking for a dynamic professional with Economics expertise and previous teaching experience to join the Business Diploma team to commence in Trimester 2, (beginning 18 June 2018).
You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality teaching and learning and will be required to teach classes/tutorials of up to 25 students. You may be engaged in designing curriculum and teaching improvements, and development of innovative learning activities, assessment opportunities, and examination and moderation tasks.
We are looking to offer relief and emergency hours plus timetabled hours should the needs arise. Sessional Teachers are engaged for timetabled and relief work through our Operations Manager. Diplomas classes are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. We are looking for a candidate who has flexible availability over 3 days a week.
Desired skills/experience:
To be successful in this position you will:
- Possess a relevant teaching qualification (preferred)
- Must have previous experience teaching at a tertiary or pre-university level
- Demonstrate expertise in the development and implementation of teaching and learning innovations
- Strong links and involvement with industry (preferred)
- Be available to take classes at short notice (relief and emergency cover).
- Flexible availability over 3 days a week
The positions require a current Working With Children Check or VIT registration.

Salary: Tutorial $102.59 per hour, Lecture $153.87 per hour.
