Education Assistant

We are Looking for a Education Assistant in our Secondary Department.

The job

The Education Assistant is a member of the school’s support staff (OOP). The Education Assistant position involves a combination of tasks to support student development. The Education Assistant provides support for teachers within the classroom setting and may work with individual and/or groups of students.

Key expectations for this role:

• Carrying out assignments which assist the teacher;
• Supporting students with assignments;
• Assisting teachers by working with individual students or groups of students in academic, social and emotional development;
• Experience and skilled in working with students;
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to daily routines and needs of the teacher and student teams;
• Skilled in assisting teachers with the practical preparation of lessons and with compiling assignments;
• Skilled in working safely with groups of students;
• Confident and proactive approach;
• Able to work collaboratively;
• High standard of professionalism;
• Be committed to international-mindedness and the ISE Guiding Statements;
• Knowledge of and a commitment to teaching the curriculum of the IB Middle Years and IB Diploma programmes.

Requirements for teaching positions at the ISE are, eligible to work in the EU, relevant qualification and/or experience, good command of spoken and written English, able to work collaboratively within a team.
