Education Consultant for Speech, Language and Communication

37 hpw. Base to be agreed dependent on home location. However, this is a countywide role.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a teacher with experience in working with children with speech, language, and communication needs, to join a diverse and dedicated team. You will be employed by the local authority and be part of the CYP Sensory and Communication Service.

The service provides education and social care services to children and young people with a sensory impairment or communication need across Suffolk. It consists of a multi-disciplinary team that includes education consultants, teachers, social workers, and a variety of support staff. Providing specialist support for 0-25 year olds for

children and young people with hearing, visual or multi-sensory impairments as well as those with speech and language difficulties. Your role will include managing specialist teachers, support staff and speech and language units across the county as well as holding a small caseload. You will be part of the leadership team and support reviews and developments for speech and language services.
