About the role

This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity to develop, lead and promote our very successful SafeBase for schools programme. SafeBase for schools is a training programme which uses a whole school approach and is linked to the SafeBase Therapeutic Parenting Programme.

As the Education Liaison Officer, you will be working within schools to deliver SafeBase for schools and improve education professionals knowledge, skills and confidence in supporting adopted and permanently placed children in education with attachment and trauma difficulties. Amongst other duties, you will help facilitate child focused consultations with school staff, parents and key stakeholders to identify children's needs, agree strategies and interventions, and review the effectiveness of these in line with SafeBase for schools programme.

The successful candidate will have a professional qualification within the field of education/educational psychology/teaching and registered with the relevant professional body. The candidate must also have experience in working within a educational/school setting and of delivering training courses and teaching.
