About the role
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Education Manager to develop and bring to life the NFU’s education strategy in line with appropriate modern teaching methods and the current national curriculum. You will manage the NFU’s Key Stage 1 and 2 educational work and develop KPIs that demonstrate our achievements and the impact of the strategy in schools and events. Our ambition is to give every primary school pupil in the country the opportunity to learn more about the role that farming plays in modern society. Working with NFU staff and members you will create opportunities to publicise the NFU’s educational offering and will form strategic partnerships with schools and teachers to deliver and develop the NFU’s education offering. You will also play an upfront role facilitating or presenting our educational resources on occasion and form partnerships with educational experts to further develop the NFU’s educational resources.
You will have an excellent understanding of the latest innovations and trends in education, particularly changes in the national curriculum and technologies in schools and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the legal and compliance issues relating to working with children and young people.
You will have experience in delivering and creating educational resources aimed at primary school pupils as well as an understanding of agricultural issues. You will have excellent communication skills and demonstrable ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
