FULL TIME (NEGOTIABLE) | SALARY $119,364 PLUS SUPER (PRORATA AS APPROPRIATE)

INITIAL 3 YEAR CONTRACT | COMMENCING: APRIL 2020

The Education Officer: Early Years Literacy provides professional support to school leaders and staff working in the areas of Early Years Education and Literacy in Catholic education.


The key focus of the position is to:


Support schools in pedagogical approaches to Early Years Learning and Transition to School and

Support schools in developing effective and research based programs in phonemic awareness, phonics, reading and writing of early years learners

The Catholic Education Northern Territory (CENT) is seeking an experienced educator with a background in Early Years Education, the delivery of professional learning and the mentoring of teachers of Early Years Framework Practices.


The successful applicant will work with the CENT Teaching and Learning Team to support the work of Principals and support staff to enhance learning outcomes for all students in the early years and literacy in Catholic Education.


This position will involve working with children. The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
