About Us

The Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association is a charity, established in 1847, whose main purpose is to promote and encourage understanding and improvement in agriculture and farming. Best known as organiser of the Royal Norfolk Show, the Association runs programmes in support of its charitable objectives – principally educational activities connected with food, farming and the countryside.

Over recent years the RNAA has evolved significantly, with its focus, level of ambition and operating model changing to reflect a greater emphasis on education. Our role has developed as an organisation that delivers real benefits to children and young people as well as for farming and the rural economy in the region. We do this by working with many other groups and organisations and the support of our members.

Our over-arching vision is to ensure that every young person at school in Norfolk has the opportunity to learn about food, farming and the countryside, and the career options that are available in the region’s largest sector.
