Education Project Manager

We are looking for a driven and experienced person for this exciting role who can take the educational work that the RNAA and its partners deliver in Norfolk to a new level. 

Established following a recent review of food, farming and agricultural education in the region, you will be responsible for: 

• Taking forward and further developing the plans to establish a Norfolk food, farming and countryside education “hub”;
• Building the framework of activity appropriate to teachers’ needs at different key stages;
• Developing networks between schools, farmers and agricultural organisations;
• Creating or identifying and disseminating enabling resources which encourage teachers and farmers to deliver educational experiences about food, farming and the countryside;
• Collaborating widely to ensure that best practice is shared and adopted;
• Taking a hands-on lead in delivery of specific RNAA events and activities, including the Spring Fling, the Royal Norfolk Show, and the Norfolk Careers and Skills Festival; 
• Communicating and promoting the work of the new organisation; 
• Liaising with key supporters, fundraising and seeking financial support for the organisation.  

This role will be based at the RNAA’s offices in Norwich and will involve travel throughout East Anglia and flexibility to work in the evenings/weekends.   

Person Specification

We are looking for a focused and driven individual who can bring our educational vision to life. Educated to graduate level, you will have well-honed interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 

You will combine relevant practical teaching experience and a passion for education with a deep interest in food, farming and the countryside.  You will make a big impact on the work of the RNAA and its partners, while reflecting the deep traditions of the county and rural economy in a contemporary way. 

Importantly, you will have relevant experience and the skills, sensitivity and confidence to develop the project, as well as deal effectively with a wide group of influential stakeholders.
