Stamford Park Trust Education Welfare Officer

36 hours a week, full year

Salary details: Grade 9 SP23–26 £32,755 - £35,325

We are seeking to appoint someone to take on an Education Welfare Officer role based across the high schools within the Stamford Park Trust, which comprises of Longdendale High School and Rayner Stephens High School. This is an exciting opportunity to promote good attendance and education welfare within the schools by fostering good working relationships with parents/carers, families and colleagues across the Trust.

The successful candidate work alongside key members of school staff, young people, families and other agencies to:

• To reduce student absence in both high schools.

• To lead any statutory action in relation to non-attendance and education welfare.

• Support the schools to fulfil their responsibilities for managing and improving attendance to school.

Working alongside the Executive Principal (Secondary) to respond to the educational welfare needs of students to ensure they achieve the highest standards of education.

Stamford Park Trust is a multi-academy trust created in February 2019. Our aim is to create a collaborative partnership with a range of local and regional educational providers in order to share expertise across our members and to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning which can be shared to the benefit of all. Our founding academy is the Outstanding Ashton Sixth Form College, however each member who joins us will be an equal partner in the Trust leading to better collaboration between the member organisations, to ensure that all learners in the Trust receive a good quality of education at every stage of their learning.
