Trinity Academy Sowerby Bridge will be a new academy within the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust, transferring to the trust in June 2018. The flagship academy, Trinity Academy Halifax is a model of excellence for the growing number of academies and free schools joining the trust.
The team behind the success at Trinity are working to help those joining our trust to replicate their successes in improving the outcomes for children and young people. The potential is huge and the fantastic opportunities this presents require the expertise and commitment of dedicated staff and key to our continuing success is the quality of teaching.
As a trust we invest in the professional development of staff and are able to offer comprehensive, regular CPD opportunities for all staff. This includes cross-trust working.
We are currently looking for an Educational Communicator to work with hearing impaired pupils by explaining, interpreting through sign language or reinforcing information within the classroom or elsewhere.
The role will also involve providing classroom assistance to the teaching staff across the academy.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with the deaf in an educational setting and have experience with signed communication.

The Trinity MAT were first approached to work with the then Sowerby Bridge High School, when it had been graded as inadequate by Ofsted and had been ranked in the bottom 15% of all schools nationally.
After joining the MAT in 2018 the progress made has been outstanding. The academy has improved its Progress 8 outcome by 0.92 and the performance puts us comfortably in the top 1% of most improved schools in the country.
In September 2021 we will be adopting the new name of Trinity Academy Grammar to better communicate our identity, high standards and aspirations for our students. We have chosen a name which truly reflects our grammar school heritage, and to better showcase our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, as we continue to build on this legacy through our outstanding achievements and passion to help our students reach their full potential.
