  • This full time 33 hour Educational Outreach Worker post is based in the Kirklees area and will require a Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle for the proper fulfilment of the role. Business mileage will be paid.
  • Relevant experience is essential for this role through Vision for Education in the past 2 years

The Educational Outreach Worker  post will involve travel between schools, young people’s homes and a range of provisions and learning environments. This is a post for a candidate with demonstrable previous experience of working with vulnerable learners

Essential criteria:

An understanding of SEND, Trauma, Attachment, factors that impact a young person’s development, happiness, mental health, sense of security, self-esteem and outward behaviour that may challenge on a daily basis

Knowledge of effective strategies for working with the above

A Commitment to repair, rebuild, provide second chances, fresh starts, no judgement and have high expectations of what young people can achiev foster confidence and self esteem

You should be a brilliant role model with a positive mindset, able to provide appropriate academic challenge

Encouraging, resilient, calm, caring personality and excellent communication skills with young people, carers and outside agencies

Driven and determined to make a difference and work to the best of your ability

Due to the remit and responsibility of this role, the post is suitable for a Grade 3 candidate or above.

A FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL WITH BUSINESS INSURANCE.

In order to be considered for this role we will need to be able to obtain at least 2 performance references. These should cover placements or previous employment related to the experience outlined above.
