Available for start in January 2021 – Educationalist Psychologist Role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced educational psychologist to join our Wellbeing team to provide support for two days a week, to students from K -Year 12. The successful applicant will support students in a variety of ways with a common goal of working towards improving student performance, increasing student self-belief and student agency in all aspects of their lives.
Educational Psychologist minimum 0.4 load commencing January 2021
Applicants for this role will ideally have previous experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist.
The Role
The successful applicant will support students in a variety of ways with a common goal of working towards improving student performance, increasing student self-belief and student agency in all aspects of their lives.
The Developmental and Educational Psychologist will be required to:
• identify and clarify learning and behavioural challenges presenting in students
• respond to student needs through the provision of short-term counselling
• design effective treatment and intervention programs
• work with the Wellbeing Team, classroom teacher and parents or external professionals in implementing the intervention programs
• design training and offer professional development to teachers and staff on student development
• evaluate programs and interventions
